Red Sky Diptych
"Red sky at night sailor's delight. Red sky at morning, sailor take warning." This sign is one of the earliest known predictors of the weather in the central latitudes where weather systems tend to move from the west to the east.
Christ acknowledged it in Matthew 16:2-3, "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.' And, in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening...'"
This pair of prints -- "Red Sky at Night" and "Sailor's Delight" -- is sold together as a set that may be framed either separately or together as a diptych.
